Sunset time!

Hi there! 

I'm Stephanie and I live in Raleigh, NC. I have always been a lover of sunsets. It's to the point now where friends will call me and say, "Stephanie. Go outside right now! The sunset is awesome tonight!"  They are ever-changing and they are gone within 30 minutes. No two sunsets are ever the same. I'm in awe every single time. 

One of my favorite songs is George Strait's "I Saw God Today." It's about seeing God in the little things each day. I just love the second verse:

"Stood there for a minute taking in the sky 

Lost in that sunset 

A splash of amber melted into shades of red

I've been the church

I've read the book

I know He's here

But I don't look

Near as often as I should

His fingerprints are everywhere 

I just slowed down to stop and stare 

Opened my eyes and man I swear

I saw God today"

I'm always posting sunset pictures on Instagram and Facebook. The idea for this blog came from my friend Eric who said it would be cool to have a sunset blog and have all the pictures in one place. And just last week my brother made a comment that he should have a bumper sticker that reads "Will brake for foliage." He's a photographer and the leaves this autumn have been beautiful. I can just picture him driving down the road and slamming on brakes because he passed by a color tree he wanted to take a picture of. Well, it must run in the family because I will do the same for sunsets.
